Formed in the early stages of 2016, Mortaryon has formed from the darkness of the English undercurrent, where the bloody tales, dark fantasy and true-to-life horrors of past ages act as inspiration to replicate such haunting events in the form of a pestilent, bloodthirsty and ever hungering musical abomination.
Mortaryon takes the slaughterhouse that is Blackened Death metal and combines it with ambience, history and atmospheric darkness to forge a new sound that is one part savage, one part bleak.
 

Mortaryon's influences begins with the classic Black Metal bands of the early days, such as Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, Burzum, Bathory, Emperor, Mayhem and Dark Funeral. This has been the main stem of influence, and has progressed towards Extreme Metal, Gothic metal and more current artists such as Behemoth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, The Great Old Ones, Shining, Gorgoroth, Eldamar, Batushka, Svart Crown, Anaal Nathrakh and so many more...
